This is by far my favorite post yet. It just perfectly describes how crazy and unpredictable (and comical) life can be. We are installing wall heaters in the upstairs bedrooms because we have lots of fun visitors coming soon and its sub-zero up there. I’m not sure who used to occupy the upstairs bedrooms but they must’ve been from Canada or woodsman to tolerate it.
I digress…so after a day of workers in/out of the house and in the attic, we can’t find our sweet (but slightly brutish) male cat Coco. We assume he’s gotten outside and can hear him crying out but it’s dark and the back yard/garage are a hazard so we just figure he’s stalking some unexpecting mice and will be back when he’s done. This morning still no sign of Coco. As I stand in the bathroom, I hear him crying again so I open the window and call out. As my ear is very near the wall – I realize that it’s coming from WITHIN the wall, not outside.
Rohan is bleary eyed and desperately trying to feed Isabel without going unconscious from her 330am waking last night and lack of having his first cup of coffee. After some investigation, we discover that yes, the cat has gotten himself into the wall and Rohan has to help coax him out.
All before 7am….such is life!
